Business Insurance

From Kent Brown, Senior Vice President & Transportation Practice Leader, Hylant:

We are happy to do so. We understand that when we send a checklist of things you need, it can seem a bit daunting.

In that case, we like to walk you through the steps, and/or go to your current company (with your permission) and make the request for the information we need.

There are certain things we, as an insurance company, can not do on the carriers' behalf. But we try to help as much as we can, whether that be on the phone or face-to-face.

From Kent Brown, Senior Vice President & Transportation Practice Leader, Hylant:

In the process of gathering information for a quote, it can be a little bit ominous, that feeling when you have to go to your current agent and ask for loss runs, and you have to gather your historical information. You have to have medical benefit ratios (MBRs) on all your drivers.

All those factors make it difficult. And until all the boxes are checked, we can't get insurance companies to release proposals.

Congratulations on deciding to pursue a better insurance program, one that is tailored to your needs as a car hauler.

To get started, you can either:

  1. Fill out the interest form by clicking the link in the green box on this page. An insurance representative will reach out to you.
  2. Call us at 518-694-4589 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and simply state you're interested in receiving a quote. We will then connect you with an insurance representative.

From Kent Brown, Senior Vice President & Transportation Practice Leader, Hylant:

We (the insurance company) need a minimum of two (2) weeks after we have all the information compiled in order to produce a proposal.

And, we like to give the client two weeks in order to respond and either accept and bind coverage, or move on.

To allow time for this process, start thinking about switching 90 days in advance of your expiration date, then at 60 days, start working on gathering information, and at 30 days out, give all the information to the desired insurance company.

Once you've bound with Hylant and agree to pay NVTA membership dues, Hylant will notify us and you will be made a Premium member in our system. You will then receive a detailed email explaining how to get started with your member benefits, such as 24/7 roadside assistance, fuel discounts, parts and tires discounts, and more.
